# clsEAIP

`clsEAIP` is a legacy EAIP period lookup helper class. Its `Inherits clsBusinessBase` line is commented out in the current source, so it is treated as a plain (non-BOF) object rather than a BOF business object. It contains `BuildEAIPPeriodDropDown` logic and holds a reference to `clsEAIPMessages`. It may be a transitional or partially-migrated class*.

## Purpose
- Provides EAIP period dropdown data by executing queries against `CL_INJURY_CLAIM`, `EAIP_PERIOD`, and `EAIP_STATUS_CODE`.
- Accepts either a claim ID or a claim number as input*.

## Behavioral notes
- Executes [SQL-013](../../sql/SQL-013-saif-business-imaging.md) when called with a claim ID.
- Executes [SQL-014](../../sql/SQL-014-saif-business-imaging.md) when called with a claim number.
- Because `Inherits clsBusinessBase` is commented out, this class does not participate in the BOF lifecycle (`BeforeRetrieve`, `AfterRetrieve`, etc.); calling mechanisms are invoked directly*.
- The runtime calling mechanism that invokes `BuildEAIPPeriodDropDown` was not located in this analysis pass**.

## Constraints and usage notes
- This class is a possible dead/transitional artifact. Its live invocation path was not confirmed**.
