# Configuration settings

SAIF.Business.Policy.Core does not read any direct runtime configuration through its own code. No `IEnvironmentService` calls, `ConfigurationManager.AppSettings` reads, or connection-string lookups were identified; callers supply database access through `IDataPortalInfo` instead.

## Configuration retrieval methods

| Method | Class / Interface | Namespace | Usage pattern |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `GetConfigSetting(string)` | `IEnvironmentService` | `SAIF.Core.Services` / `SAIF.Framework.Security.AppGlobal` | Not used by this library. |
| `GetSecureConfigSetting(string, string)` | `IEnvironmentService` | `SAIF.Framework.Security` | Not used by this library. |
| `ConfigurationManager.AppSettings` | — | `System.Configuration` | Not used by this library. |
| `DbConnectionManager` | — | SAIF framework | Not used; callers supply `IDataPortalInfo`. |

## Environment API settings

No direct Environment API settings were found for this library.

## AppSettings (Web.config)

No direct `appSettings` keys were found for this library.

## Database connection configuration

No direct connection-string or provider configuration is consumed by library code. Oracle access is supplied by the caller's BOF data-portal context.

## Secure settings

No direct secure-setting retrieval was found for this library.

## Transitive configuration (from dependencies)

Several dependency packages may require host-level configuration, but those requirements are indirect from the perspective of this library.*

## Configuration dependencies

| Dependency | Type | Required at | Impact if missing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Caller-supplied `IDataPortalInfo` | service / context | runtime request | Policy-core retrieval and persistence cannot reach Oracle. |
| Oracle ODP.NET provider registration | config section | host startup | Oracle commands cannot be created by the host. |
