# Retrieve a group contact

Loads the contact row for either the group-level contact or the chapter-scoped contact branch exposed by the UNION retrieve SQL.

## Steps

1. Build `Criteria(dpi, groupAssociationCode, groupChapterCode)` and call `RetrieveObject`.
2. `BeforeRetrieve` binds `:GroupAssociationCode` and `:GroupChapterCode`.
3. `RetrieveSQL` selects contact name, title description, phone, 800 phone, fax and e-mail from `GROUP_ASSOCIATION_CONTACT`.
4. `AfterRetrieve` fills the object and marks it old.

## Failure and edge-case behavior

- The retrieve SQL uses a UNION so the group-level contact and chapter-level contact are resolved through a single request.
