# RatingPlans

`RatingPlans` is a nested enumeration of `Enums` that classifies the pricing/rating plan applied to a policy (experience-rated, claim-rated, merit-rated, non-rated, or SARAP). `Enums.ConvertRatingPlan` translates between this enum and its persisted database codes.

## Purpose
- Represent the fixed, closed set of rating-plan codes recognized by the policy domain, per [BR-POL-003](../../../../business-rules.md#br-pol-003-persisted-policy-codes-map-to-fixed-domain-enums).
- Provide the `Unknown` fallback value used when a persisted rating-plan code cannot be mapped, per [BR-POL-004](../../../../business-rules.md#br-pol-004-unrecognized-codes-translate-to-safe-defaults).
