# Determine whether the information page was printed

Determine whether the information page was printed.

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Operation ID** | OP-007 |
| **Trigger** | A caller asks whether the period is issued. |
| **Inputs** | `IDataPortalInfo`, policy number, policy period effective date |
| **Outputs** | Boolean flag |
| **Primary components** | `PolicyInformation` |
| **Entry point** | `Business\SAIF.Business.Policy\PolicyInformation.vb` |

## Steps

1. Run [SQL-006](../sql/SQL-006-saif-business-policy.md) against [ENDORSEMENT](../database-tables.md#endorsement).
2. Require `endorse_code = 'P401'` plus a non-null printed date.
3. Compare the returned policy number to the input policy number to derive the Boolean result.
4. Apply related business rules: [BR-POL-009](../business-rules.md#br-pol-009-only-printed-p401-endorsements-count-as-issued-information-pages)

## Process flow

The following diagram visualizes the main control flow for this operation.

## Failure and edge-case behavior

- Business rules are cross-referenced from the catalog page and the SQL or procedure logic cited in these steps.
- Database and procedure failures surface according to the underlying implementation path.
