# clsAffiliatedPolicy

`clsAffiliatedPolicy` represents a single policy related to the policy being viewed. It holds enough to render a row — number, name, status, agent and agency, and a preformatted description — and exposes a `Policy` property that loads the full `clsPolicyData` only when a consumer actually navigates to it. That split is what keeps an affiliation list cheap to display.

## Purpose

- Represents one affiliated policy in the list built for a policy and affiliate type ([Retrieve affiliated policies](../../operations/retrieve-affiliated-policies.md)).
- Defers retrieval of the affiliated policy's own header until the `Policy` property is read.*
- Supplies the formatted description used when rendering an affiliation row.
