NumericControlProperty

Numeric editor binding arguments use this enum to specify which Infragistics numeric control property should act as the synchronization surface, so the framework can preserve the caller's intended numeric precision and CLR type when moving data between editors and bound objects. The selection is especially important for editors that expose multiple typed value accessors in addition to formatted text.

Purpose

  • Chooses the typed numeric accessor that a numeric binder reads from and writes to.
  • Preserves caller-selected precision and numeric width instead of forcing every binding through string conversion.

Behavioral notes

  • clsWebNumericEditBinder switches on this enum in both directions so the same selected accessor drives object-to-control display and control-to-object assignment.
  • The binder includes special handling when ObjectDataType.NullableDecimal is paired with numeric-editor text/value flows to preserve blank entries as Nothing.

Constraints and usage notes

  • Match the chosen control property to the real target property type to avoid truncation or conversion failures.
  • Use Text only when formatted display content is the intended source of truth; typed numeric accessors usually give stronger round-trip fidelity.
