WebMaskEditBindingArgs

This classic mask-edit argument carrier extends clsObjectBindingArgs with the target object data type needed by the non-SAIF WebMaskEdit binder. That extra type hint tells the binder how to interpret masked editor content when it converts between control text and the bound object property.

Purpose

  • Tell the classic WebMaskEdit binder which source-side data type it should convert to and from.
  • Keep classic mask-editor configuration on the same argument-object registration path as other binder families.
  • Separate non-SAIF mask-edit conversion choices from the SAIF-specific control-property options documented on SAIFMaskEditBindingArgs.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Presentation.Web.Binding
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Presentation.Web.Binding.Infragistics103 (embedded/bundled as source, not independently packaged)

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
TargetObejctDataType Public ReadOnly Property TargetObejctDataType() As ObjectDataType Exposes the source-side data type the binder should honor during conversion.
New Public Sub New() Creates a mask-edit configuration that uses the class default target type.
New Public Sub New(ByVal inTargetObjectType As ObjectDataType) Creates a mask-edit configuration with an explicit target conversion type.

Behavioral notes

  • The class defaults the target type to ObjectDataType.String, matching masked-text scenarios where the control value is persisted as text.
  • This type inherits clsObjectBindingArgs, so it can still travel through manager overloads that expect standard bind metadata plus a mask-specific conversion hint.

Constraints and usage notes

  • Use SAIFMaskEditBindingArgs when the binding must also select a non-default SAIF mask control property.
  • The source property type selected here must match the binder's expected conversion path.
