# clsObjectBindingArgs

This shared argument carrier packages the minimum metadata every binder constructor needs: the bound object, property name, control reference, binding direction, and optional alternate control property. The manager and concrete binders use it as the common base for more specialized argument types that add control-family-specific options without changing the registration pattern.

## Purpose
- Provide one reusable container for core binding metadata shared across control families.
- Establish the inheritance base used by specialized `*Args` classes in the same file.
- Carry alternative control-property selection for mask and editor bindings that do not use the default `Value` member.

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Binding`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Binding.Infragistics103` (embedded/bundled as source, not independently packaged)

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| BindingSource | `Public Property BindingSource() As Object` | Holds the object or collection that a binder reads from or writes to. |
| BindProperty | `Public Property BindProperty() As String` | Identifies the source-side property name used for value transfer. |
| BindErrorProperty | `Public Property BindErrorProperty() As String` | Overrides which property name should be queried for validation errors when it differs from the bound value property. |
| FormControl | `Public Property FormControl() As Control` | Carries the control reference whose `UniqueID` anchors the binding registration. |
| BindType | `Public Property BindType() As BindTypes` | Records the direction in which the binder should participate. |
| ControlBindProperty | `Public Property ControlBindProperty() As ControlBindProperty` | Selects the control member a binder should read or write when `Value` is not the correct binding surface. |
| New | `Public Sub New()` | Creates an empty argument bag for property-by-property population. |
| New | `Public Sub New(ByVal inControl As Control, ByVal inBindObject As Object, ByVal inBindProperty As String, Optional ByVal inBindType As BindTypes = BindTypes.TwoWay)` | Creates a fully populated core argument bag from a control, source object, property name, and bind direction. |

## Behavioral notes
- Specialized argument classes in the same source file inherit this metadata surface and add only the control-family-specific options they need.
- `ControlBindProperty` defaults to `Value`, which matches the manager's standard assumption for editor-style controls until a specialized argument overrides it.

## Constraints and usage notes
- `FormControl` stores the control `UniqueID` when assigned, so callers should set the actual control instance rather than only its ID.
- This type carries metadata only; it does not perform binding or validation itself.
