clsWebDateChooserBinder

This binder adapts the classic Infragistics v10.3 WebDateChooser calendar editor so page code can bind either a date value or a string-backed date field through the shared object-binding workflow. It is part of the legacy InfragisticsClassicControls set, not the newer InfragisticsControls date-editor family.

Purpose

  • Push a bound date property into a classic WebDateChooser control.
  • Pull the chosen date back as either a native date value or a string, depending on the target-property mode.
  • Optionally write changes immediately on ValueChanged when UseEvents is enabled.

Behavioral notes

  • Setting TargetTypeIsString to True also changes the binder's control-bind property to Text, aligning string-backed targets with the control's textual representation.
  • ControlToObject() writes WebDateChooser.Text when string mode is enabled and WebDateChooser.Value otherwise.
  • ObjectToControl() always assigns the chooser's Value, letting the control render the date according to its own formatting rules.

Constraints and usage notes

  • Use TargetTypeIsString only when the target property is meant to store the chooser's formatted text rather than a date value.
  • The local variable aStringValue declared in ControlToObject() is unused in the current compiled source and has no effect on behavior.
  • Validation formatting and error collection come from inherited clsObjectBinderBase behavior rather than chooser-specific logic.
