# ModalGridCustomizer.ColumnVisibilityOverride

`ModalGridCustomizer.ColumnVisibilityOverride` is the page-declarable, expandable property bag through which a hosting page configures which grid columns are always visible or always hidden for a given [ModalGridCustomizer](ModalGridCustomizer.md) instance, enforcing [BR-AJAX-002](../../business-rules.md#br-ajax-002-always-visible-and-always-hidden-grid-columns-cannot-be-toggled-by-the-end-user).

## Purpose
- Holds the semicolon-delimited `AlwaysVisibleColumns`/`AlwaysHiddenColumns` column-key lists that `ModalGridCustomizer` passes through to the constructor of its underlying `InfragisticsGridCustomizer`, which then assigns each matching column's `InfragisticsGridCustomizer.VisiblityModes`.
- Decorated with `TypeConverter(GetType(ExpandableObjectConverter))` so the property appears as an expandable sub-property group in the Visual Studio WebForms designer's Properties grid.
