# PadArgs

`PadArgs` is a standalone data contract configuring fixed-width padding applied by `clsObjectBinderBase.GetObjectValueAsString` / `SetObjectValueAsString`, independent of the `clsObjectBindingArgs` hierarchy.

## Purpose
- Configure the direction, length, fill character, and target (control or object) of padding applied to a bound value ([BR-BIND-013](../../business-rules.md#br-bind-013-padding-applied-before-display)).
