# clsObjectBindingArgs

`clsObjectBindingArgs` is the base argument object every control-specific `…BindingArgs` type derives from. It exists so applications can configure a binding — bind source, target property, error property, form control, bind direction, and control-specific bind property — through one strongly-typed object instead of a long positional `Add` overload call.

## Purpose
- Carry the common binding configuration shared by every control-specific `…BindingArgs` subtype.
- Let `Add` overloads accept a single configured args object instead of many positional parameters.

## Public members

| BindingSource | `Public Property BindingSource() As Object` | The business object (or collection) to bind. |
| BindProperty | `Public Property BindProperty() As String` | Name of the property on `BindingSource` to get/set. |
| BindErrorProperty | `Public Property BindErrorProperty() As String` | Name of the property `IDataErrorInfo` errors are harvested against, when it differs from `BindProperty`. |
| FormControl | `Public Property FormControl() As Control` | The target control instance. |
| BindType | `Public Property BindType() As BindTypes` | Direction of data movement for this binding. |
| ControlBindProperty | `Public Property ControlBindProperty() As ControlBindProperty` | Which control-side property/representation to bind to (e.g. `Text`, `Value`, `Date`, `PhoneValue`, `TaxIDValue`, `RawText`). |
