# SAIFMenu.ContextViewStyleEnum

`SAIFMenu.ContextViewStyleEnum` selects how `SAIFMenu`'s context search box is presented to the user. It is read by `SAIFMenu.InitializeControls` to switch between an editable textbox, a read-only textbox, and a fully hidden box, letting hosting pages reuse the same control across pages with different search-context requirements ([BR-MENU-011](../../business-rules.md#br-menu-011-the-context-box-supports-three-display-modes)).

## Purpose
- Provide the three supported context-box display modes consumed by `SAIFMenu.ContextViewStyle`.

## Context
- Namespace: `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2.Menu`
- Assembly/package: `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2.Menu` (shipped merged into `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Infragistics111.dll` via ILMerge)

## Public members
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `Normal` | `Normal = 0` | The context box renders as an editable textbox, showing watermark text when empty. |
| `Read_Only` | `Read_Only = 1` | The context box renders as a read-only textbox; the user cannot type a new value. |
| `Hidden` | `Hidden = 2` | The context box is not rendered at all. |

## Behavioral notes
- The enum has no members beyond the three display modes; hosting pages select behaviour solely through `SAIFMenu.ContextViewStyle`.

## Constraints and usage notes
- Setting `ContextViewStyle` to `Read_Only` does not clear an existing `ContextValue`; it only prevents further user edits.*
