# SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2.Menu database tables

This library contains **no direct database access**: no SQL text, command objects, connection strings, or data-layer types appear in `SAIFMenu.vb`, `SAIFMenuTop.vb`, or `SAIFImageButton.vb`. All persistence is delegated to other components, so no table catalog rows apply directly to this library.

## Delegated persistence paths

Although this library issues no SQL of its own, two indirect persistence paths are exercised on its behalf:

The underlying tables (`MENU_ITEM`, `MENU_PAGE`, `MENU_CATEGORY_CODE`, `MENU_SECURITY`, `MENU_SECURITY_USER`, `MENU_FAVORITE`, `BUSONLINE_APPS_CODE`) are cataloged in `SAIF.Business.Menu`'s own database documentation, not here. |
| User preferences | `Preferences.Add("SHOWAPPS", …)` / `Save()` (see [Expand or collapse the applications section](operations/expand-or-collapse-the-applications-section.md)) and the read in [Restore menu state on page pre-load](operations/restore-menu-state-on-page-pre-load.md) | `SAIF.Presentation.clsPreferences` → `SAIF.Framework.Preferences`, DB user `CLM` | Reads and writes the `SHOWAPPS` preference for application `BOMENU`. `"BOMENU"` is an **application scope value**, not a table or schema name, and `"SHOWAPPS"` is a **preference key**, not a column.

## Table relationship diagram

No cross-table relationships were identified in this library's SQL, because this library contains no SQL. Relationships among the delegated tables (`MENU_ITEM`, `MENU_PAGE`, `MENU_CATEGORY_CODE`, etc.) are documented in `SAIF.Business.Menu`'s database documentation.
