# SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2 overview

`SAIF.Presentation.Web.Controls.V2` is a VB.NET ASP.NET Web Forms server control library that supplies the second-generation ("V2") SAIF look-and-feel control set — styled input controls, layout and navigation containers, a data grid, a status-message control, and several behavior helpers. It performs no data access, configuration-file reads, or authorization logic of its own; every control renders HTML and, where needed, registers client-side JavaScript from the consuming application's `/Resources/` folder.

## Purpose
- Supplies a self-contained set of ASP.NET server controls that give consuming applications a consistent SAIF look-and-feel for branding, layout, navigation, data entry, data display, action controls, and user feedback, without any of the controls performing data access or authentication/authorization checks themselves.
- Consumed directly by front-end presentation pages and by sibling presentation libraries — `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Binding.Infragistics111` (`clsObjectBindManager` uses `SAIFMessage` to surface validation errors) and `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core.Infragistics111` (`AppViewMasterPageBase` uses `SAIFMessage` for status messaging, and `clsControlManager` honors the `ControlManagerEnableable` attribute produced by `Utilities.mdlUtilities`).*

## Responsibilities
- Render SAIF-branded site chrome (`BannerControl`, `BannerControlV2`) driven by an external `/Resources/SiteBanner.xml` content file.
- Provide layout/grouping controls (`SAIFPanel`, `ConditionsGrid`) and in-page navigation controls (`SAIFTabs`, `SAIFTabBar`).
- Supply styled data-entry controls, most with an optional read-only rendering mode (`SAIFTextBox`, `SAIFCheckBox`, `SAIFCheckBoxList`, `SAIFRadioButton`, `SAIFRadioButtonList`, `SAIFDropDownList`, `SAIFComboBox`, `SAIFListBox`, `MultiListControl`).
- Supply action/submission controls (`SAIFButton`, `OneClickSubmit`, `SAIFAlphaNumericLinkControl`) and a styled data grid (`SAIFGrid`).
- Supply user-feedback controls (`SAIFMessage`, `SAIFHoverHelp`, `FocusManager`) and the cross-control `Utilities.mdlUtilities` attribute helper consumed by the control manager in `SAIF.Presentation.Web.Core.Infragistics111`.
