SAIF.Presentation.Web.MVC database tables¶
This page catalogs database tables accessed by this library. This library accesses one SQL Server table directly (Context); Oracle menu-authorization tables are accessed indirectly through SAIF.Business.Menu and are documented in that library's own database-tables page, not here.
Table catalog¶
| Table | Database | Schema/Link | CRUD | Purpose | Primary business object |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Context | SQL Server | [unqualified]** |
C, R, D | Cross-application context hand-off — carries typed key/value pairs (target/source app and view, claim ID, policy number) between SAIF web applications within a session | clsContext.clsContextRepository |
Context¶
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Database | SQL Server (catalog runtime-resolved via AppGlobal.EnvironmentService.GetConfigSetting(EnvironmentConfigKeys.NetFrameworkSqlServer), application key APPM, instance NETFRAMEWORK) |
| Schema/Link | [unqualified]** — no OWNER.TABLE qualifier appears in any statement; the schema is whatever default schema the APPM connection's login maps to |
| Purpose | Persists named key/value context entries so a user navigating from one SAIF application to another carries typed values (e.g. targetView, targetApp, sourceApp, sourceView, claimId, policyNum, SAIFClaimNum, ProviderLocationSeqNum, __SAIFPID) across the application boundary |
| Access pattern | Direct inline SQL (no stored procedures) |
| CRUD operations | Create, Read, Delete (no Update) |
| Key columns used | ID, AppName, SessionID, ContextName, ContextValue, UpdateDate |
| Sequence | N/A — ID appears to be an identity column; SQL Server has no sequence object here* |
| Related tables | None — no JOIN, sub-select, or cross-table predicate references another table |
| Business objects | clsContext, clsContext.clsContextRepository |
Operations referencing this table¶
- Navigate to a view
- Navigate with a fresh model
- Receive inbound cross-application context
- Retrieve and consume context rows
- Persist context rows
Business rules referencing this table¶
- BR-MVC-008: Multi-model view state is keyed by a per-view GUID
- BR-MVC-010: Every navigation records source/target app and view
- BR-MVC-011: Context is persisted only on genuine cross-app transitions
- BR-MVC-017: Cross-application context is consumed exactly once
- BR-MVC-019: Context persistence targets database APPM under tag NETFRAMEWORK
SQL referencing this table¶
- SQL-001: Insert a context row
- SQL-002: Retrieve inbound context rows
- SQL-003: Retrieve a single context value by name
- SQL-004: Delete context rows
Table relationship diagram¶
No cross-table relationships were identified in this library's SQL. Context is the only table referenced, and no statement contains a JOIN, sub-select, or cross-table predicate; it is a self-contained key/value hand-off table keyed by the composite (AppName, SessionID, ContextName).
