# SOAP client proxy documentation

This proxy calls the external `clsCAServices`† address-cleansing service and is carried inside `SAIF.Services`, a packaged class library that ships in the `SAIF.SAIFCode.Core` NuGet package; three authored adapter types wrap it, but no production code in this repository constructs those adapters — the only exercise found is in unit tests.

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Proxy name** | `CleanAddressSvc` |
| **Mechanism** | Web Reference (wsdl.exe) |
| **Generated namespace** | `SAIF.Services.CleanAddressSvc` |
| **Generated artifacts** | `Services/SAIF.Services/Web References/CleanAddressSvc/Reference.cs` |
| **WSDL document** | `Services/SAIF.Services/Web References/CleanAddressSvc/clsCAServices.wsdl` |
| **Proxy base type** | `System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol` |
| **Hand-written wrapper** | `SAIF.Services.Utilities.CleanAddress.CleanAddressService`, `AddressSearchService`, `CleanAddressBatchService` (`Services/SAIF.Services/Utilities/CleanAddress/`) |
| **Consuming project** | `SAIF.Services` (`Services/SAIF.Services/SAIF.Services.csproj`) |
| **Target service** | `clsCAServices` |
| **Endpoint source** | Generated settings (`SAIF.Services.Properties.Settings`) |
| **Binding** | HTTP (ASMX default), SOAP 1.1 binding `clsCAServicesSoap` |
| **Operations present** | 5 |
| **Operations called** | 4 |
