# SOAP client proxy documentation

This proxy calls the external `clsGenerate`† ASMX service, which fronts the xPression document platform, to preview, distribute, and enumerate document packages; it is consumed by `SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies`, specifically its authored wrapper `SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies.DocumentServiceProxy`, which is in turn used by `SAIF.Services.Utilities.Documents.DocumentService`.
