# Claimant

Claimant carries the injured worker's demographic, contact, and eligibility details as returned by Guidewire ClaimCenter, and is embedded as the `Claimant` property of `ClaimData` (returned by `ClaimDataApiClient.GetClaim`, see ../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Clients/ClaimDataApiClient.md) as well as the `Worker` property of `ClaimSummary`.
It nests a `ClaimantMisc` sub-object for supplemental worker attributes and a shared `Address` for the claimant's primary mailing address.

## Purpose
- Represents the person (worker) associated with a workers' compensation claim, including identity, contact channels, marital/education status, and fraud/authorization flags.
- Aggregates the `ClaimantMisc` and `Address` sub-objects so consumers can read claimant data without separate lookups.

## Behavioral notes
- `ClaimantMisc` and `PrimaryAddress` are nested objects rather than flattened fields, so consumers must null-check them before reading nested values.
- All date fields are non-nullable `DateTime`; a default/unset value from Guidewire is represented as `DateTime.MinValue` rather than `null`.*
