# Recovery

Recovery represents a single recovery transaction (such as subrogation or reimbursement) on a claim, and is the element type of `RecoveriesData.Recoveries` (see ../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Models.ClaimDataApi/RecoveriesData.md), nested under `ClaimFinancialData` returned by `ClaimDataApiClient.GetGWClaimFinancials` (see ../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Clients/ClaimDataApiClient.md).

## Purpose
- Carries the amount, payee, category, and transaction metadata for one recovery transaction recorded against a claim.
