# Reserve

Reserve represents a single reserve amount for one cost category on a claim, and is the element type of `ReservesData.Reserves` (see ../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Models.ClaimDataApi/ReservesData.md), nested under `ClaimFinancialData` returned by `ClaimDataApiClient.GetGWClaimFinancials` (see ../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Clients/ClaimDataApiClient.md).

## Purpose
- Carries the incurred, paid, and remaining reserve amounts for a single cost category on the claim; compare `Category` against the `ReservesData.Category*` constants for known categories.*

## Public members

| IncurredAmount | `public decimal IncurredAmount { get; set; }` | Total incurred amount for this category (paid plus reserved). |
| PaidAmount | `public decimal PaidAmount { get; set; }` | Amount already paid for this category. |
| ReserveAmount | `public decimal ReserveAmount { get; set; }` | Remaining reserved amount for this category. |
