# ClaimSummary

ClaimSummary (in `WorkerDataApi`) represents a single claim summary record — claim identifiers, employer, injury and loss details, wage information, and the associated `Claimant` worker — returned by [WorkerDataApiClient](../SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Clients/WorkerDataApiClient.md) methods for worker/claim retrieval, either individually or within [ClaimSummaries](ClaimSummaries.md)'s `Claim` list. It is a separate type from `SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Models.ClaimDataApi.ClaimSummary`, which this type's `Worker` property references indirectly via the `Claimant` type from that other namespace.

## Purpose
- Represents one claim summary — claim id/number, employer, injury and loss dates, wage data, and the associated worker — as returned by worker-data API operations

## Constraints and usage notes
- This is a separate type from `SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Models.ClaimDataApi.ClaimSummary`; despite the shared name, the two types are declared in different namespaces and are not interchangeable.
- The `Worker` property's `Claimant` type is imported from the `SAIF.Data.Guidewire.Models.ClaimDataApi` namespace via a `using` directive, coupling this worker-data type to a claim-data type.
