# ClaimDetail.AlertItems

`ClaimDetail.AlertItems` derives the ordered list of claim alert badges directly from the claim's boolean and date flags, so claim-detail screens can render a consistent alert list without re-implementing the flag logic.

| Field | Value |
| --- | --- |
| **Operation ID** | OP-CORE-02 |
| **Trigger** | Claim detail display |
| **Inputs** | Claim flags and dates carried on the `ClaimDetail` contract |
| **Outputs** | Ordered list of alert items |
| **Primary components** | `ClaimDetail.AlertItems` |
| **Entry point** | `Core/SAIF.Core/Contracts/Claims/Information/ClaimDetail.cs` |

## Steps

1. `AlertItems` reads the claim's fraud, secured worker, preferred worker, support order, worker conflict, multiple jobs, and overpayment flags, plus the CDA/Full DCS/Partial DCS flags and their associated dates ([CORE-BR-010](../business-rules.md#core-br-010-claim-alerts-are-raised-for-fraud-secured-worker-preferred-worker-support-order-worker-conflict-multiple-jobs-overpayment-and-cda-full-dcs-partial-dcs-with-dates)).
2. For each flag that is set, an alert entry is added to the returned list; date-bearing flags (CDA, Full DCS, Partial DCS) include their associated date in the alert entry ([CORE-BR-010](../business-rules.md#core-br-010-claim-alerts-are-raised-for-fraud-secured-worker-preferred-worker-support-order-worker-conflict-multiple-jobs-overpayment-and-cda-full-dcs-partial-dcs-with-dates)).
3. The completed alert list is returned to the caller for display; no persistence or external call occurs.

## Process flow

The following diagram visualizes this operation's control flow.

```mermaid
flowchart TD
	Start([Claim detail requested]) --> Read[Read claim flags and dates]
	Read --> Build["Build alert list<br>for each set flag"]
	Build --> EndOk([Alert list returned to screen])
```

## Failure and edge-case behavior
- A claim with no flags set produces an empty alert list; no error is raised.
