# InvalidNumberOfPagesException

`InvalidNumberOfPagesException` is a `[Serializable]` exception thrown by `SimpleCertifiedMailServiceProxy.GetDefaultLabelData` when a certified-mail label is requested for more pages than the SimpleCertifiedMail service supports, signaling a request-shape failure distinct from a remote service error.

## Purpose
- Signal that a caller requested default label data for more than 76 pages, before any remote call is attempted ([WP-BR-015](../../business-rules.md#wp-br-015-default-label-size-is-set-by-page-count)).

## Behavioral notes

## Constraints and usage notes
- Callers of `GetDefaultLabelData` should catch this exception separately from `SimpleCertifiedException` if they need to distinguish an oversized request from a remote service failure.
