# SimpleCertifiedException

`SimpleCertifiedException` is a `[Serializable]` exception thrown by `SimpleCertifiedMailServiceProxy.GetCertifiedLabel` whenever the remote SimpleCertifiedMail service returns a status code other than 1, and is always logged via `ILogService.LogException` before it is raised ([WP-BR-018](../../business-rules.md#wp-br-018-a-failed-label-response-is-logged-and-thrown)).

## Purpose
- Signal a remote SimpleCertifiedMail service failure, carrying the service's own status message in the exception message.

## Behavioral notes
- Always preceded by a call to `ILogService.LogException("SimpleCertifiedMailService", "GetCertifiedLabel", "", ex)` before it is thrown, so every occurrence is also captured in the remote logging service ([WP-BR-018](../../business-rules.md#wp-br-018-a-failed-label-response-is-logged-and-thrown)).

## Constraints and usage notes
- Distinct from `InvalidNumberOfPagesException`: this exception represents a remote service response failure, not a local request-shape validation failure.
