# Cl1Segment

`Cl1Segment` models the X12 CL1 institutional claim code segment, used within 837 institutional claim transactions to carry the patient's admission type classification for an inpatient/institutional claim.

## Purpose
- Represents the CL1 segment identity via `SegmentId` returning the literal `"CL1"` ([BR-020](../../business-rules.md#br-020-first-element-is-the-segment-identifier)).
- Carries `AdmissionTypeCode`, the institutional admission-type classification for the claim.

| Build | `IEdiSegment Build()` | Creates a `SegmentBuilder("CL1")` and adds `AdmissionTypeCode` at element 1, returning the built segment. |
| Fill | `void Fill(IEdiSegment segment)` | Reads element 1 via `GetChildValue` into `AdmissionTypeCode`. |
| Parse | `static Cl1Segment Parse(IEdiSegment segment)` | Instantiates a new `Cl1Segment`, calls `Fill(segment)` on it, and returns it. |
