# PwkSegment

`PwkSegment` models the X12 PWK paperwork segment, used in 837 claim transactions to indicate that supporting documentation exists for a claim, describing the document type, how it will be transmitted, and an optional identifier for retrieving it. Notably its element usage skips positions 3-4, mapping `Qualifier`/`IdCode` directly to elements 5-6.

## Purpose
- Represents the PWK segment identity via `SegmentId` returning the literal `"PWK"` ([BR-020](../../business-rules.md#br-020-first-element-is-the-segment-identifier)).
- Carries `Type` (the paperwork/report type code) and `TransmissionCode` (how the paperwork will be sent), the core description of the supporting documentation.
- Carries `Qualifier` and `IdCode` at elements 5-6, an optional identifier for locating the referenced paperwork.
