EdiManager

EdiManager is the sanctioned facade entry point for reading and writing EDI interchange files; callers construct an EdiManager and call File() to obtain a builder whose fluent .Path(path).Read() / .Write(file) chain is the only supported way to perform EDI file IO in this library.

Purpose

  • Provides the single public entry point applications use to start an EDI file read or write operation, rather than constructing parser/builder types directly.
  • Delegates the actual builder construction to EdiFileBuilder, keeping the fluent IO API internal to the Edi.Core.Builders namespace.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Common.Files.Edi
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Framework.Common.Files

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
File public IEdiFileBuilder File() Returns a new IEdiFileBuilder instance used to chain .Path(path) with either .Read() (parse an interchange from disk) or .Write(file) (serialize an IEdiFile to disk).

Constraints and usage notes

  • File() is an instance method (not static) despite returning a fresh builder on every call and holding no instance state; callers must instantiate EdiManager first.*

Note: Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts.
