# Configuration settings

SAIF.Framework.CodeGen does not retrieve runtime settings from the Environment API, `ConfigurationManager.AppSettings`, or config-file sections itself, and the only local configuration-related project artifact is an empty auto-generated `MySettings` scaffold with no typed settings. However, `CodeTableMap.Connect()` directly instantiates `clsMSOracleDataLayer` (from `SAIF.Framework`, built from `SAIF.Framework.Core`) using caller-supplied `dbUser`/`database` arguments, so this library is transitively dependent on the Oracle connection configuration that `SAIF.Framework.Core` resolves through `SAIF.Framework.Connection`'s `ConnectInfo` service. Settings required at runtime by referenced libraries or packages, not directly consumed by this library's code. `SAIF.Framework.CodeGen` supplies no connection or environment configuration itself — `CodeTableMap.Connect()` instantiates `clsMSOracleDataLayer` (from `SAIF.Framework`, built from `SAIF.Framework.Core`), which resolves its Oracle connection string through `SAIF.Framework.Connection`'s `ConnectInfo` service.*
