clsOutcomeIssue (code-table variant)¶
clsOutcomeIssue (code-table variant) is a code-table entry type in the CodeTables component grouping of SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal. It represents one row of the OUTCOME_ISSUE_CODE reference table, populated by clsOutcomeIssueCodes (GetOutcomeIssueCode) via SELECT CODE, CODE_DESCR, CASE_TYPE_CODE FROM outcome_issue_code ORDER by code_descr. It carries CaseType so lookup lists can be filtered/scoped to the case type (e.g. state vs. federal) of the legal case being edited.*
Note: this class name is distinct from OUTCOME_ISSUE the table documented in Database tables, which is populated by LegalNet\clsOutcomeIssue.vb (a different, non-code-table business object) — the two share only a naming coincidence.*
Purpose¶
- Represents one outcome-issue code/description pair sourced from
OUTCOME_ISSUE_CODE, for use in case-outcome issue-selection lookups. - Carries
CaseTypeso lookups can be scoped/filtered to the case type of the legal case being processed.*
Context¶
- Namespace:
SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal.CodeTables - Assembly/package:
SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal
Public members¶
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| CaseType | Public ReadOnly Property CaseType As String |
The CASE_TYPE_CODE value from OUTCOME_ISSUE_CODE, used to scope which case types this outcome-issue code applies to.* |
| New | Friend Sub New(inCode As String, inDescr As String, inCaseType As String) |
Constructs the entry from code, description, and case-type code; restricted to the assembly, so instances are only created by clsOutcomeIssueCodes during retrieval.* |
Inherited public members¶
Members in this section are inherited from CodeTableInfo(Of String) in SAIF.Framework. This base type is supplied by an external framework package rather than a documented dependency library in this run, so its members are not itemized here.**
Behavioral notes¶
- Instances are only ever constructed internally by
clsOutcomeIssueCodes.Newwhile iterating theOUTCOME_ISSUE_CODEquery result, ordered bycode_descrrather thancode.*
Constraints and usage notes¶
- The
Friendconstructor means consumers cannot create ad-hocclsOutcomeIssueinstances outside this assembly; they must retrieve entries viaGetOutcomeIssueCode.*
