clsRequestIssueInfo¶
clsRequestIssueInfo is the most detailed code-table entry type in the CodeTables component grouping of SAIF.Business.Claim.Legal. It represents one request-issue reference-data row (likely sourced from a REQUEST_ISSUE_CODE-style table*), extending the base code/description pair with effective/expiration dating, form-request linkage, and request-type scoping used when validating or generating "other legal party and request issue" forms.
Purpose¶
- Represents one request-issue code/description entry with effective-dating (
EffectiveDate/ExpirationDate) so expired issue codes can be identified viaIsExpired. - Carries
FormRequestCodeandRequestTypeCode/RequestTypeDescriptionso a request-issue entry can be linked to the specific form and request-type it applies to. - Flags whether the issue requires an additional free-text field (
IsAdditionalField) or represents a reconsideration issue (IsReconIssue), driving conditional UI behavior in the request-issue screens.*
Context¶

Public members¶
| Member | Signature | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| EffectiveDate | Public ReadOnly Property EffectiveDate As Date |
Date from which this request-issue entry is valid for selection. Defaults to Today if not supplied. |
| ExpirationDate | Public ReadOnly Property ExpirationDate As Date |
Date after which this request-issue entry is no longer valid, derived from the internal clsSmartDate expiration value. |
| IsExpired | Public ReadOnly Property IsExpired As Boolean |
True when an expiration date is set and EffectiveDate is before today, indicating the entry should no longer be offered for new selections. |
| FormRequestCode | Public ReadOnly Property FormRequestCode As String |
Code identifying the form-request this issue entry is associated with. |
| IsAdditionalField | Public ReadOnly Property IsAdditionalField As Boolean |
Indicates whether this issue requires an additional supplemental field to be captured when selected. |
| DisplaySortNumber | Public ReadOnly Property DisplaySortNumber As Integer |
Sort order used to render this entry in issue-selection lists in a defined order rather than alphabetically. |
| RequestTypeCode | Public ReadOnly Property RequestTypeCode As String |
The request-type code this issue entry applies to; used to scope which request types can select this issue. |
| IssueTextName | Public ReadOnly Property IssueTextName As String |
Name/identifier of the issue text associated with this entry (source: inIssueTextCode constructor parameter). |
| RequestTypeDescription | Public ReadOnly Property RequestTypeDescription As String |
Human-readable description of the associated request type. |
| IsReconIssue | Public ReadOnly Property IsReconIssue As Boolean |
Indicates whether this issue entry represents a reconsideration-specific issue. |
| New | Public Sub New(inCode As String, inDescription As String, inShortDescription As String, inEffectiveDate As Date, inExpirationDate As clsSmartDate, inFormRequestCode As String, inIssueTextCode As String, inIsAdditionalField As Boolean, inDisplaySortNumber As Integer, inRequestTypeCode As String, inRequestTypeDescription As String, IsReconIssue As Boolean) |
Constructs a fully-populated request-issue entry; unlike most sibling code-table entry types in this module, the constructor is Public, allowing direct construction outside the assembly.* |
Inherited public members¶
Members in this section are inherited from CodeTableInfo(Of String) in SAIF.Framework. This base type is supplied by an external framework package rather than a documented dependency library in this run, so its members are not itemized here.**
Behavioral notes¶
- A companion query method,
GetRequestedCodes(inRequestType As String, inRequestDate As Date) As IEnumerable(Of CodeTables.clsRequestIssueInfo), filters a collection ofclsRequestIssueInfoentries viaCodeInfoList.Where(Function(x) x.RequestTypeCode = inRequestType And (x.ExpirationDate = Date.MinValue OrElse inRequestDate < x.ExpirationDate) And x.EffectiveDate < inRequestDate)— selecting entries matching the given request type whose active-dating window (effective before, and either never-expiring or not yet expired as of) the supplied request date.*
Constraints and usage notes¶
- Because the constructor is
Public(notFriend), this type can be instantiated directly by consumers, unlike most other code-table entry classes inmdlCodeTables.vb.*
