Claim responsibility retrieval¶
This operation resolves the user and supervisor assigned to handle a claim, given a claim responsibility code, by joining claim responsibility and supervisor reference tables.
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Operation ID | OP-VC-06 |
| Trigger | Caller retrieves clsClaimResponsibilityData (e.g. via clsClaimData.ClaimResponsibility) with a ClaimRespCode |
| Inputs | ClaimRespCode |
| Outputs | Responsibility user, supervisor, and section metadata |
| Primary components | clsClaimResponsibilityData.Criteria.RetrieveSQL |
| Entry point | Business\SAIF.Business.View.Claim\clsClaimResponsibilityData.vb |
Steps¶
- Supply the responsibility code. The caller provides a claim responsibility code, typically sourced from
clsClaimData.ClaimResponsibilityCode. - Join responsibility to supervisor data. The query joins
CL_CLAIM_RESPONSIBILITYtoCLAIM_SUPERVISORon supervisor code (SQL-013, CL_CLAIM_RESPONSIBILITY, CLAIM_SUPERVISOR). - Return responsibility and supervisor fields. The object returns responsibility and supervisor identity fields to the caller.

Failure and edge-case behavior¶
- Table names in the underlying query are unqualified, so schema ownership could not be confirmed from source alone.**
