InvalidNumberOfPagesException

InvalidNumberOfPagesException is a [Serializable] exception thrown by SimpleCertifiedMailServiceProxy.GetDefaultLabelData when a certified-mail label is requested for more pages than the SimpleCertifiedMail service supports, signaling a request-shape failure distinct from a remote service error.

Purpose

  • Signal that a caller requested default label data for more than 76 pages, before any remote call is attempted (WP-BR-015).

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies (packaged in SAIF.SAIFCode.Core)

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
Constructor InvalidNumberOfPagesException() Default constructor with no message
Constructor InvalidNumberOfPagesException(string message) Constructs the exception with a specific message
Constructor InvalidNumberOfPagesException(string message, Exception innerException) Constructs the exception with a message and an inner exception
Constructor InvalidNumberOfPagesException(SerializationInfo info, StreamingContext context) Deserialization constructor required for [Serializable] support

Behavioral notes

  • Thrown only from GetDefaultLabelData when numberOfPages exceeds 76 (WP-BR-015); it is not thrown by any other member in this library.

Constraints and usage notes

  • Callers of GetDefaultLabelData should catch this exception separately from SimpleCertifiedException if they need to distinguish an oversized request from a remote service failure.
