SimpleCertifiedException

SimpleCertifiedException is a [Serializable] exception thrown by SimpleCertifiedMailServiceProxy.GetCertifiedLabel whenever the remote SimpleCertifiedMail service returns a status code other than 1, and is always logged via ILogService.LogException before it is raised (WP-BR-018).

Purpose

  • Signal a remote SimpleCertifiedMail service failure, carrying the service's own status message in the exception message.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Services.Web.Proxies (packaged in SAIF.SAIFCode.Core)

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
Constructor SimpleCertifiedException() Default constructor with no message
Constructor SimpleCertifiedException(string message) Constructs the exception with a specific message, typically "SimpleCertifiedMailServiceProxy Error: {StatusMessage}"
Constructor SimpleCertifiedException(string message, Exception innerException) Constructs the exception with a message and an inner exception
Constructor SimpleCertifiedException(SerializationInfo info, StreamingContext context) Deserialization constructor required for [Serializable] support

Behavioral notes

  • Always preceded by a call to ILogService.LogException("SimpleCertifiedMailService", "GetCertifiedLabel", "", ex) before it is thrown, so every occurrence is also captured in the remote logging service (WP-BR-018).

Constraints and usage notes

  • Distinct from InvalidNumberOfPagesException: this exception represents a remote service response failure, not a local request-shape validation failure.
