clsOutcomeManager

clsOutcomeManager maintains case outcome, issue, and staff records and drives the case-close workflow, including appeal-level code lookups used to classify how a case's appeals concluded. It declares the nested clsCodeList DTO used to populate its Win/Loss outcome list. It inherits LegalManagerBase (this library) → ClaimAppManager (SAIF.Application.Claim).

Purpose

  • Maintain case outcome, issue, and staff records for the current legal case.
  • Drive the case-close workflow, transitioning a case to a closed state once outcome data is complete.
  • Provide appeal-level code lookups (Win/Loss outcomes) used to classify appeal results, backed by the nested clsCodeList DTO.

Context

  • Namespace: SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal
  • Assembly/package: SAIF.Application.Claim.Legal.dll (embedded library, referenced by the Legal web front end)

Public members

Member Signature Purpose
New(inDatabase, inSecurityPrincipal) Public Sub New(inDatabase As String, inSecurityPrincipal As clsSecurityPrincipal) Constructs the manager for the given database context and authenticated principal, calling into LegalManagerBase.New.
OutcomeCol Public ReadOnly Property OutcomeCol As clsCaseOutcomeCollection* Exposes the case outcome/issue/staff collection for the current legal case.
CloseCase() Public Sub CloseCase()* Runs the case-close workflow, transitioning the current case to a closed state once outcome data is complete.
OrderTypeCodeList Public ReadOnly Property OrderTypeCodeList As List(Of clsCodeList)* Exposes the Win/Loss appeal-outcome code list, backed by the nested clsCodeList DTO, for classifying appeal results.

Behavioral notes

  • clsOutcomeManager.vb contains a commented-out filter comment on OrderTypeCodeList and disabled task-generation code blocks; these were excluded from findings as non-executable*.
  • The case-close workflow is a terminal state transition for the case; subsequent edits after close may be restricted by business-layer validation not traced in this library**.

Constraints and usage notes

  • The nested clsCodeList type is scoped to this manager's Win/Loss list use case; see clsCodeList for its own reference page.

Note: Statements marked with * were inferred from code structure, naming conventions, or contextual evidence where direct confirmation was not available in source artifacts. Statements marked with ** could not be confirmed; treat as unknown until verified.
