SAIF.Services.Export operations and processes¶
This page is the operation catalog and cross-operation hub for this library. Each operation's detailed, step-by-step logic lives in its own page under operations/.
Operation catalog¶
| Operation | Intent | Trigger | Inputs | Outputs | Rules | Tables | SQL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Generate delimited export text | Convert an in-memory collection into delimited (CSV-style) text via reflection | Caller invokes ExportServices.GetCSV(Of T) |
IEnumerable(Of T) collection, optional Delimiter, optional UseQuotes |
Delimited String (header row + data rows, or empty string) |
None | None | None |
No business rules, database tables, or SQL statements apply to this operation — see Business rules.
Process flow diagram¶
The following diagram visualizes the primary operational flow for generating delimited export text.
flowchart TD
Start([Caller invokes GetCSV]) --> Check{Collection empty?}
Check -->|Yes| EndEmpty([Return empty string])
Check -->|No| Header[Build header row via reflection]
Header --> Rows[Build data rows for each item]
Rows --> EndOk([Return delimited string])
Database interactions¶
Not applicable — this library performs no database interactions.
Failure and edge-case behavior¶
- Empty input collection: returns an empty string with no header row and no data rows.
- Null property value mid-row: the value is silently skipped rather than emitted as an empty placeholder, which can misalign column counts across data rows.*
